COASTAL PLAINS NATIVE PLANT NURSERY
Our nursery exists to encourage healthy landscapes and healthy people. Native plants are the subject of many of our courses and plants will be offered to participants to enhance learning and encourage land stewardship. Plants from our nursery will also be made available for purchase at seasonal plant sales and special orders. The income from these sales will support the mission of the Outdoor School.

Our goal is to use locally sourced seed with high genetic diversity, so that our plant material is suitable for ecological restoration as well as home gardening. Source of material is available upon request.

Native plants are the foundation of the food web and support thousands of different lifeforms. Whether indirectly or directly, virtually all of native wildlife depend on native plants. We in turn depend on these healthy landscapes for innumerable ecosystem services, such as pollination of crops, pest management, stormwater control, carbon sequestration and much more.
